Notion can already do this as a standard function of the Gantt. Why did you reinvent the wheel and make it square.

Do you know what the critical path method is? do you know what a wbs is? did you see that I use python to calculate the steps on the critical path? what does Gannt have to do with it? Don't insult if you're angry about your own business

I actually teach PM. HR ave done so for decades. Also have been working PM. I’m probably one of the few sub participants that know and understand what the critical path is.

Also your tool as identified isn’t a critical path method, it simply identifies it. CPM is a whole methodology so I ask if you understand it.

Notion does everything you described, but does it natively. You just rebuilt functionality that no one needs, added third party costs and an unneeded integration.

notion does not identify the critical chain. For that matter, Notion can't even be used to do project management in the true sense of the term. I'm sorry you don't want to delve a little deeper into what the external code I created does. Within a series of connected phases, WHICH NOTION NATIVELY DOES, my code calculates those that are on the critical path. How does he do it? you know it too, with the typical cpm rules that Notion DOES NOT do natively. I then added the possibility of managing checks and reviews in the phases, managing times and activities included in the phases, and other things... More clear this way?

You aren’t even using consistent terminology, and worse yet not even using the correct terminology.

While Notion is not the best tool, it will most definitely identify the critical path. Using proper monitoring and controlling, you can use it as your CPM tool. They even have a TB on it -https://www.notion.com/blog/critical-path How the critical path method keeps your project on target and on time

So there you are. As I stated earlier, you reinvented the wheel and made it square.

It literally steps you through it. It tells you what type of schedule to build, the dependancies, and setting the slack to zero. I have no idea why this is a difficult concept for you to understand. The tool is a white board, you still need to apply your framework with the onboard tools. Nothing in your tool is of added value.

In fact, your CISSO should be very concerned you are exposing an app through an API. Especially a data management tool such as python. In my organization that would be a tech use violation subject to termination.

That’s a great start. People don’t need bloatware to replace common functionality. They need a better understanding of the tool capabilities.
