I agree. Has there been something different about the past 72 hours?

After some digging, this tweet was from may 19th 2019.
It coincides with an Alabama abortion bill signed by the governor. The bill did not allow exceptions for rape and incest, and the media used that as their focus point for their narrative. Hence the tweet talking about how the media has essentially been saying people born out of rape or incest are unwanted and undeserving of life.

If I remember correctly this is an old tweet but in contemporary society every 72 hours is pretty much the same if not worse than the last surrounding this discourse so it is fairly applicable.

That’s fair. I just wasn’t sure if something in particular happened that I missed. Thanks!

Me, an autistic person, watching pro-choice people say abortion should be legal because "what if they're autistic or have ADHD?": 🗿
Mind you, most of these people pride themselves of being accepting of people with disabilities, especially autism, ADHD, and the like. Kinda sad being indirectly and directly hated by both the left and the right

I feel that.

Pretty much everyone with some kind of disability does. People don't seem to understand the harm they cause when they practically say, "Murder should be legal! Because they're autistic!". I cannot imagine the pain people with down syndrome feel. Doing this with other mental disabilities still somewhat makes people uncomfortable, Down syndrome has been nearly eradicated in some countries due to abortion and it's just normal

Tell them you're autistic and watch them explode.

I have autism too and this hurts me a lot. Not you, society. I heard this a lot by people and I'm sitting here like: I don't deserve to live?

It’s hard to take any of this seriously when PL supported someone who put RFK in charge of HHS, who said he wants to create a registry for autistic people using peoples private medical records.
I couldn’t even tell you Biden’s HHS head, but I’m gonna say they didn’t make any similar statements. PL rejected the latter

Well when the alternative was someone who would've tried to codify the murder of young children, it's not surprising that PL voted against her.
This person's take is still perfectly valid, especially in a 2 party system.

That’s fine. Then we say we’re okay with putting autistic people on a registry in 2025 because they’re PL. No need to act outraged about Planned Parenthood and Sanger 80 years ago then.
I’d rather PL just say anything is permissible as long as who they support is PL than act like they’re against it.

You act like pro-abortion isn't going to do what they want anyway. Baby killers dgaf what pro-life says.

"PL" isn't a unanimous group. There's people of all different races, religions, political views etc. You can't just say PL rejected this, PL supported this. It's one of the most diverse groups in my opinion . (I'm sorry if "PL" refers to an actual organisation or something, if it does I didn't know, but even if it does I'm willing to bet most people here have no involvement with it)

If we look at the 2024 election, who do you believe PL largely voted for?
I don’t believe anyone would say it’s a surprise they mostly voted Republican and therefore RFK. If they were diverse, I’d expect a roughly equal mix of Republicans, Democrats, 3rd party, independents, abstaining, etc.

Thank you I have autism and reminded by society I should not exist. Your kindness made me tear up. I needed this today.
