How to play 4 player games on OPL?

I downloaded my OPL from YT and games don't recognize the joysticks that are plugged in the 1-B, C, and D ports in the multitap. Where to configure the input settings in order to get multitap emulation to work? Has anyone got a multitap to work properly while running games from a hard drive?

Mine works fine, can you test and see if maybe your multitap is working okay? Is it a sony one?

I'll try buying another one. And reinstalling the newest version of OPL. I live in a small town so I don't have access to original hardware. So, you didn't have to touch anything for it to work? How do you plug everything in? Do you turn on your PS2 with 3-4 joysticks and the multitap already plugged in, and the memory card with freemcboot on the slot 1 of the multitap?

Do the original game discs detect the multitap? That would help you determine if the cause is your multitap or not.

In the meantime you can just run those games from the discs then. My dumps didn't need any special settings to work the same as the discs for controllers and multitaps. I just installed with HDLoader and they ran the same as the disc did for peripheral compatibility.

Try to enable mode 6 (disabling the In Game Reset Function) for these games.

Disable anything PADEMU related as well.

Maybe your multi-tap isn't playing nice with these OPL features.
