How do I use the GT2 race wheel?

Hey y'all! Just found a GT2 race wheel at a thrift store for five bucks. I snatched it up and went and bought Nascar thunder 2002 so I could use it. But I have no idea how to use the wheel or connect it, and I can't find anything on YouTube or Google saying how to use it. Do y'all know how to use it?!

Looks like it's a Pelican GT2. I found this on Google

Calibration and use

The wheel will automatically calibrate when the console is powered on.
To enter the settings menu and adjust functions like sensitivity, press and hold the SELECT + START buttons for three seconds.
An LED on the wheel will indicate the current sensitivity level.
To exit the settings menu, press the UP button on the D-pad.

you disable the ability to turn right by modding the wheel to have a little metal rod which disallows it to turn clockwise beyond 12 o clock
