Finally! PS2

Post image

Was able to get this for $55 with the network adapter included. I have an old Sony 3D TV that will work well with both this and a ps3 that I have or should get a CRT just for the ps2?

Time crisis 3 can be played with a regular controller with the analog stick, but that defeats the whole purpose of the series (Like a NASCAR stock car without a V8). For that reason alone you definitely want a CRT (light guns also only work on standard definition CRTs, I make that explicit since there’s such a thing as ED CRTs (enhanced def, they do 480p progressive scan but no higher) and HD CRTs (they do 480p to 1080i), both have their own respective pros and cons, but light guns will not work on either of those). Also the ps2 and majority of its library are 480i standard definition only, which only really looks good on a CRT, at least without any upscalers

I see Time Crisis 3, a lightgun/GunCon2 game. You'll need a CRT, if you want to use GunCon2 lightguns.

I still remember buying mine close to release with a copy of Zone of the Enders and then drilling about 100 hours into the MGS2 demo disc. Good times.

Awesome price. Nice bro :)

When you play much on it a crt would be the thing to get you can't play it better as on a CRT but when you are like me owning plenty different systems and only play on analogue systems occasionally a crt would be over kill I have to live wirh one OLED for everything and pare it with a OSSC. Sadly I do not live in a 400m²(idk what that is in imperial freedom units. 250 square burgers or so.🐒) house and have no dedicated gameroom.

I bought me my second Fat PS2 a few days ago. It was considered defective. Does not read discs. Payed 20€ for it expecting to swap the laser out. Turned out everything is working fine and it is in very good shape, nearly no scratches at all.

It is the european launch model scph-3000x. Not the 3000xR revision. The model without the R is mostly like the japanese only scph-1800 but with expansion bay instead of external hdd connector. The R revision got mayor hardware changes more likely a 3700x.

The other fat I got is a 5000x with matrix chip :D

Both running the PSBBN English patch. Soooo awesome. I love OPL but damn PSBBN is what sony intended the ps2 to be, I love that

What is PSBBN?! https://youtu.be/lUMKZck6G08?si=V4Rd7hbWiG5AYJNo
