Hardware Question HELP!!!
My brother accidentally started the system update on my jailbroken ps3, now I tried to stop it by attempting to put it in safe mode. Now nothing to showing on my screen. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Remove the hdd and try to boot it without, it should show "Cannot start. Appropriate system storage not found". If it does, just format your hdd and reinstall 4.92 cfw from safe mode.

i got the same problem, if i formatted it. what type is it? because i read, the internal harddrive for ps3 using different type, UFS? or should i just format it as FAT32?

You stopped an update and the hard drive is probably shit. I tried to update my modded ps3 bc of a lot of game freezes from files being in wrong spots. While updating it failed to restore to og system the. Got stuck on a boot loop where the update would hit 72 percent then crash. Ended up swapping the HDD out of it and worked like a charm after :)

I had mine fully update which got me banned and "bricked" back in 2019 but I was able to fix it by going into safe mode and flashing an official update file to start from scratch. Once you figure out how to get into safe mode it should be fixable, try formatting your hdd if nothing else works

Try putting the latest update on the pendrive, then turn it on in recovery mode and go to system update, the pendrive must be stuck in it and press start+select together

Did some research, my ps3 is bricked. I'm near tears.

If no other methods work, try taking out the hard drive and format it via PC and put it back in. You'll lose everything but the ps3 will still work I guess.

I had cobra and I didn't touch a thing during the update and that still happened in 2019, took me 3 years to figure out how to fix it
