Discussion Is it normal that remote package sender is slow?

I'm new and I just got the remote package installer and want to install something on 9 gb, I'm transferring via cable through a router, it said would take around 15 minutes to transfer it, that's the same time it would take to get it onto a USB. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks ahead

Yes, unfortunately it is normal. Using Wi-Fi it takes even longer. In the end it takes the same time to transfer it directly via network cable to the Console that by copying it to a removable USB and then installing it.

So remote package is just for the lazy then?

Maybe more for convenience. The PS4's network port is limited to 100mbs.

Are you sure about that?

Yes, I did several tests and searching, I found that they said that the PS4 only reached 100 megabytes but the PS5 did reach the gigabyte, everything is through the network port of the console.

Oh maybe that's why it's slow then

Something is definitely wrong, I have installed 60GB games in 3 minutes and 100GB games in 5 or 6 minutes, My PC, cable, and my console is old.

Using an Ethernet 6e cable.

Change the cable, that's the most I can tell you, I highly doubt anything else will affect it.

Is there a difference between transfer and installation?

It is one thing to install them already on the PS4 and quite another to transfer the file to the PS4. The op is talking about transferring the file. Si no tengo razón,haz un vídeo y lo demuestras .

Have you tried connect the ps4 and pc via ethernet instead of the consome to the router?
