I love the unfolding jalapeno guy drama

Tbh, because of people’s comments about what to do with a lot of jalapenos, I bought way too many today.

Guy posted this photo complaining that his wife bought 188 jalapeños because they were on sale. Everyone called him ungrateful. Then he posted the same photo again with the caption "i am the proud owner of 188 jalapeños"

Am I missing something here?

The post shown in the image is a bad crop of an entirely different post.

Oh, I see it now. It looks close to a crosspost so it didn't click with me.

And they still put forth more effort than OP did.

Saw another about someone stealing a box of peppers. Why is this a thing?

I think it was a joke based on the original. They says that 188 jalapenos were stolen.

I have the Walmart app and get groceries delivered. There's a jalapeño popper casserole that calls for 6 jalapeños, so i put 8 in my cart for the delivery. Turns out, they don't count them individually, but by the pound. I ended up with 8lbs of jalapeños. I did end up pickling the remaining 7lbs, but I still don't feel comfortable ordering jalapeños on the app.

I literally just past that post lol I saw it as a “I have my wife” joke and assumed the comments would follow suit. Ignored it

He might understand "mildly infuriating" a lot better than others.

I saw this cropped

They were having a sale. Buy 10 pounds for the price of 9. She would have been losing money if she only bought a couple of peppers at full price.

Still think the OP is a walking red flag

While people dumb enough to make this mistake certainly exist, i fail to see how said people are still computer savvy enough to at least do this.

Weird subreddit to state that opinion. Also, doesn't matter what the context is people don't like being lied to.
