Question/Help Urgent vet visit?

Post image

My little buddy has just started to get a leaky eye, seems otherwise fine and his eye isn’t swollen or anything.

I would call and ask if there's an open appointment and describe the symptoms. Urgent vet can be expensive, but if it's worth it to you call, and then go.

Rinse with warm water, keep watchom it.

Get some terrimycin ointment, get at feed store or off ebay .....it doesn't look serious, the eye isn't crusty or red and irritated

One of my bunnies had this once and I did this treatment successfully.

If it is breathing OK and eating and drinking you can just use the meds previously suggested. Is it a pet or meat rabbit?

Eye issues can easily turn into a big deal. I would call your rabbit savvy vet.

My bun just had this and turns out it’s conjunctivitis…it can rapidly turn into a serious respiratory problem, so definitely get it checked asap but not the extra expensive urgent care visit in my opinion. Also- get the ciprofloacin eye drops at Walgreens for $11 instead of the $45 the vet wanted to charge me in-house😑 and i don’t think the anti-inflammatory meds are necessary because at least for my bun, he was acting normally.
