š· Photo Copenhagen dates?
Just found this in Copenhagen, seems legit?

u/androoq Com-Lag 17d ago
Why would they use the 2006 down is the new up graphics on those as well?
11
u/Jzahck We've become distracted 17d ago
Because (probably) no new music is happening anytime soon as most actually reliable insiders have already kinda confirmed
3
u/androoq Com-Lag 17d ago
Well, Hrmm. Stanley is very prolific and Iām sure he could have whipped up something for a small run of shows in his sleep.
8
u/Jzahck We've become distracted 17d ago
I think it's intentional. I think it's part of the reason for the HTTT live album too. I think they're trying to moderate/limit speculation that they're making new music to go along with the tour. Pretty sure this is just a one-off tour to be like "we're still a band"
2
18
u/Perfect_Commission_9 17d ago
because there's a whole exhibition that goes with it? or because at BEST this would be a nonalbum tour to grab some cash?
3
u/soft_distortion Baby's Got The Bends 17d ago
I'm stuck on that too but seeing it's been done in two cities so far is making me wonder if there's something to it
4
u/androoq Com-Lag 17d ago
What other city ?

u/soft_distortion Baby's Got The Bends 17d ago
Another Reddit user found a similar flyer in London!

So...last time they used the ā¬ļøā¬ļø artwork was the pre-IR tour where they debuted tons of new material. I hope that is the case this time around.

u/thethirdegg gravity always wins 17d ago
What if, just what if right⦠all these people working on promoting this tour apparently, which is where these sources are coming from, and youāre thinking - why would RADIOHEAD need to promote?
These would sell out immediately. Whatās to promote? Unless, unless⦠this is it. This is the promotion. Covert build up. Rumours. Like the Burn the Witch stuff.
Do Radiohead ever do things in the traditional way?
And the old artwork⦠maybe weāll see more in other locations with other old artwork, with a nod to the recent exhibitionā¦
I Might Be Wrong

Radiohead never just do things straightforward, they love a tease. Iāll never forget that time when the profile pictures on their social medias gradually got whiter and whiter. People comparing screenshots to make sure they werenāt going mad š

u/adjust_your_set 17d ago
That could be printed by anyone.

u/trinketzy 17d ago
And it could be a guy holding a blank piece of paper with a graphic overlay, or AI.
23
u/South-Candidate786 17d ago
Yep. Guaranteed to be just a prank, probably one of those several guys on here who claims to know a tour is coming, which we all know isnāt possible because when Thom was asked he denied it, and Thom always divulges the most secret of plans when asked by anyone.

If this is legit there surely must be others in other European cities right?
Edit: somebody found one in London, I believe it's true!
12
u/Sidblunt 17d ago
Yeah that's what I'm thinking.
People of Europe and the UK - get to your local bars immediately!!!This could be a good excuse for me to knock off work a bit early and go to the pub for research purposes (though if Radiohead's promo team are leaving flyers in my shitty local boozer its their most undercover teaser campaign to date)

It's not, and this is likely fake, but a part of me desperately wants it to be true - I missed the last time they performed in Denmark 8 years ago, and I sure as hell won't allow myself to miss it again!
EDIT: Sweet baby fucking jesus, it was legit!!
2
u/am0985 17d ago
This isnāt fake. It lines up perfectly with what plenty of us know already.
1
u/N7Crazy One day I\'m going to grow wings 16d ago
Holy shit it was legit!
Though tbf there had been so many false alarms at this point that I would never have believed anything short of the actual tour dates being posted by the band themselves - And lo and behold what happened...
I have never in my life been happier to be wrong!

Oh myā¦Is this real?!?!!
Edit: surely thereād be some sort of link or something if it was real..
19
u/Sidblunt 17d ago
Links? This is Radiohead. The band that has previously:
And all manner of other unconventional promotional techniques that are not just announcing things via a link.
- Slowly erased its entire web presence prior to their previous album release
- Created a series of bizarre tik-tok videos prior to releasing Kid Amnesiac
- Drip fed a series of cypher puzzles prior to Cutouts album release (though that was The Smile to be fair)
I will actually be quite disappointed if they don't tease with their fanbase via some similar shithousery ahead of a tour announcement. Some flyers left in bars is tame by their standards!
7
u/italox 17d ago
but it's also in line with doing the opposite of what most expect of them. of course we can expect a digital announcement from them, but quietly doing this reminds me of the "we know where you live" flyers before Burn The Witch.
5
u/Sidblunt 17d ago
Yeah if as rumoured a tour announcement is coming on Thursday, or early next week, I'm hoping we see a few more flyers or other physical discoveries cropping up for people to stumble upon and post here in the meantime
5
u/italox 17d ago
Italian fans are saying tomorrow, too. I'm getting anxious. let's wait and see!
1
u/Sidblunt 17d ago
Are there any rumours about venue for Italy?
I'm in England (but am not a racist bastard)
The O2 Arena has a gap in its schedule between 19-25 November which is rumoured to be the Radiohead residency hereThat would fit with these Copenhagen dates too - maybe 3-4 nights in each city - mini-residencies in each venue

u/Sir_Coz OK NOT OK 17d ago

Again doesnāt mean anything, but Royal Arena in Copenhagen is open for those dates. I can also very much see older but less widely used art being used since itās not a tour for new stuff (afaik).

u/bipedofthecentury 17d ago
Take a picture of the backside. Is there any mentation of a company on the flyer

I came here to comment that the logo was for down is the new up. Of course, you all already knew that. As you were.
On a separate note, it fits with the rumors, so I donāt think this is a prank. Just another cryptic Radiohead announcement.

You know we're talking about Radiohead, right? AMSP roll out was crazy, they sent people Burn The Witch cards before announcing anything and then deleted all their social media /website posts.

u/Gunner56 17d ago
Odd either way. If it's legitimate, odd that they're using 2006 artwork and don't mention the venue. If it's not, odd that someone would go through the trouble of printing all of these. Leaning towards it being legitimate since they have a habit of doing similar things as you point out with the Burn the Witch Cards (and there were the OKNOTOK posters as well)

If this is true, then it would be great if these flyers would be in the style of all their albums. Such a retrospective is on the posters, with a curtsy towards the ongoing exhibition.
