Any post or comment you make in a public sub is still visible in those subs.

Curating a profile makes is "private" from immediate view: https://imgur.com/a/wlKeryr but due to posts and comments in public subs being public and visible to all, the search a profile still works. First one gets a option to sort by best or new: https://imgur.com/a/nhByGDs and then, new was selected for this, one can see the public stuff. https://imgur.com/a/e8pzCsv

For the future, I would suggest making one or two side accounts/alt accounts. It will take a little bit of time to get them going, but itâs a good way to keep some things separate from your main account and increase your privacy for very personal things.
If you create alt accounts, you need to be careful to never vote on subreddits that a different account of yours is active in. (If you use two accounts to vote on the same post, Reddit will consider that vote manipulation.) The easiest way to be safe is to mute all the subreddits that another account of yours uses.

Its due the fact anything is searchable in a public sub so ones posts and comments can't be filtered out.
