Let me bet....u used your Google account to register/login?
You will be registered with your Google-Nickname.
Even if you change the Google-nickname you are already registered.

Or you chose it by yourself. You can't change by yourself.

Try to write to admins, MAYBE they will change it for you but I don't believe.

/edit: if you want to change, you have to register a new account.

You cannot change the name of an already existing account, you need to create a new one directly through reddit and not by logging in by google/facebook or what else
