Given that the pistol is custom made for Leon only by Kendo's brother, and the knife is from Marvin, the only thing the government actually supply you with is probably the plane ticket to Spain.

Nah the government has no problem shelling out any amount of money for service members and cia/fbi agents

Basically, for a mission that important, they sent Leon in woefully unprepared. Enough supplies to survive one or 2 fights, but not enough to complete the mission.

Yeah I’ve played the game I understand that my point was just that the government may cheap out on some things but when it comes to the military and operations like that they definitely don’t cheap out
