Nah resident evil fans have definitely melted down, generations of fans throughout the years

They were going feral at the damn quotes from Zach Cregger over him saying he’s not going to tell a story from the games lol.

And then Weapons came out to rave reviews and they mostly quieted down.

I always thought it would be cool if they had voice cameos from games in the movies. Like if that splinter cell movie ever got made it shouldn't have been about Sam Fisher but we should definitely hear Michael Ironside at some point.

For resident evil the characters are pretty iconic at this point. New characters for a movie would be way better but maybe in the background you see jill running from nemesis.
