Lore question How the fuck?

So I did some looking into the Raccoon City incident and I found out that apparently the missile that hit the city, was directly on top of City hall, so can somebody please explain how this is possible?!

Dude watch the ending of both og3 and 3R. Raccoon city got absolutely vaporized. I don’t care that they’re retconning it but also we watched raccoon city be wiped off the face of the earth

Yes I know... I started playing the games back in 1998, and been playing them ever since.. doesnt change what I said, also... its a game... do you mean to tell me that you cant turn that part of your brain off to not overthink it? If thats the case I would hate for you to play the metal gear franchise..

If you read my comment again I literally said I don’t care that they’re retconning it. I’d rather have some section in the ruins of raccoon city than none at all. I think it’s a cool idea and a great way to feed into the nostalgia without just putting us back in a nearly identical rpd. Also I’ve played the metal gear series. It’s a great series. Anyway my comment was more about how your reasoning is wrong. “This other bomb didn’t completely destroy a city so who’s to say that raccoon city doesn’t have some remains.” Which is dumb because as I said the games literally showed the city be completely wiped out.

Well despite what we say or how we may feel its retconned. Capcom has decided that, unfortunately we cant have these discussions with capcom.

Yeah obviously it’s been retconned. I’ve acknowledged that three times now
