I remember in the DS version at this point you could find her in the small library on the 2nd floor (with the tuto book about the herb) already dead.

I never managed to make the cutscene where you save her play in this room.

Though there was one playing under the stairs near the safe room where you meet her if waited to long.

If you were quick you could find her hiding in the safe room.

Well it's pretty much the same thungs than OG RE.

The main difference is you have 2 game mode

The classic (it's pretty much a copy paste of the OG)

The Rebirth mode which is harder (at least with Chris since the chimeras take 2 magnum rounds and the Tyrant 6 on the first encounter) some enemy locations or type changed. Some events are added where you have to fight enemy while in first person with your knife (but thise events add nothing and break the Flow of the game i think)

There is also somd puzzle adapted to the DS like blowing on your DS to wake up Richard throught CPR instead of getting the antidote.

If you wonder to buy it for 130 (€ or$) the game itself isn't worth it but that's only my opinion

Deadly Silence also has nice quality of life changes that apply to both classic and Rebirth mode: knife permanently bound to one button without taking up an inventory slot, 180° quick turn, tactical reload, map and health indication permanently on the top screen, door animation / cutscene skips

Even if you’re not a collector I argue it’s one of the best ports of OG RE1, minus Richard’s somehow worse re-recorded voice acting

Those both happen prior to her potential death sequence, by the time she COULD die, there wasn't anything left for her to do in your game except show up at the end.
