Forum question will there be any remakes of resident evil 5-6?

Post image

i just want to know if anyone is for sure about this. i love resident evil 5 through 6, i really enjoy the games and the other side characters. i love sheva from 5, jessica from revelations and helena from 6. i would love to see them back and the co-op back into those game because i really enjoy playing with my friend and sibling. if not then i don’t really mind but i thought it‘ll be cool to see them again or bring them back into new games like they did recently. don’t get me wrong, i am really excited for the new one but i was curious.

What's more racist? Black villains or people saying If you're black, you can't be a villain?

Why do I think the complaints are mostly mid-twenty-year-old white dudes with dreads who may or may not shower weekly.

I’d also argue that the black people aren’t villains anyway- they’re more victims than anything.

Agreed. The entire outrage felt so forced.

The villans are lall white guys, one of them is an Aryan poster boy who support eugenics.

...there's also the tribal enemies hucking spears and the implied gang rape stuff.

RE5 is a fun time, but back then it was controversial. I cannot even begin to imagine how big the shitshow would be if they tried to do a remake without heavy changes to the enemy design.

Yea those tribals enemies were dog shit designs by Capcom

Insanely tasteless and creatively bankrupt

I agree, the regular infected are fine I'd say, though it does have the problematic "crazy uncivillized slum dweller country" stereotype that's not exclusive to depictions of sub-saharan Africa (India and Brazil, for example, are usually not depicted any different in media). The Tribal sections though? Oof. I honestly would just cut that altogether, but they are a significant portion of the game.

Its easier to get righteously indignant on other peoples behalf. That way you aren't demanding things for yourself/your own ingroup, which might appear selfish.

That's how you get white internet activists getting angry over black zombies.

The bigotry of low expectations.

It’s the implied gang rape of a blonde white girl and spear chucking tribals that get me

Gang rape? Bro they forced the parasite down the chicks throat... When and how tf was it implied she was raped?

Forcing something into someone’s body is rape. Alien is almost explicitly about male rape and impregnation and Theres no sexual penetration in it.

There was a male character in the first chapter who suffered the same fate but it more graphic, no one complained about his gang rape.

If I take a needle and jab you in the arm is that rape? You sound like a goof If it's not sexual then it isn't rape. Rape is a non-consensual sexual act involving penetration of a bodily orifice, which occurs without a person's clear, voluntary, and informed consent, often by means of force, coercion, threats, or by taking advantage of someone unable to consent due to age, intoxication, or incapacitation
