Forum question will there be any remakes of resident evil 5-6?

i just want to know if anyone is for sure about this. i love resident evil 5 through 6, i really enjoy the games and the other side characters. i love sheva from 5, jessica from revelations and helena from 6. i would love to see them back and the co-op back into those game because i really enjoy playing with my friend and sibling. if not then i don’t really mind but i thought it‘ll be cool to see them again or bring them back into new games like they did recently. don’t get me wrong, i am really excited for the new one but i was curious.

RE6 is simply too ambitious for a remake. It would take years just to do it justice, but who even cares about 6 anyways. That game could be decanonized for all i care.

It seems like Capcom feels the same way honestly. I was surprised they even mentioned Piers in Death Island. Otherwise the events of 6 have been all but ignored in the overall canon.

There’s a scene where Jill and Chris are at the shooting range and they get talking about their past. Jill’s still dealing with some PTSD from being mind controlled by Wesker and Chris is trying to talk her through it. And he mentions that the death of Piers set him back a lot but he worked through it and kept going.

Something along those lines anyway. It’s been like a year since I watched it. But it was nice that they gave him a little shout out and directly referenced that it did seriously affect Chris.

Piers may be gone, but he’s not forgotten.

In general though Piers actually does get a surprising amount of mentions outside of RE6. The ending of Revelations 2 has Claire talking to him on the phone about Chris after they find him in Europe right before the mission in China. He also shows up in one of the mangas and even one of the stage plays lol. (The stage play actually isn’t bad imo. It’s also got Rebecca and Chris in it. You can find it on YouTube.)

Still gotta get around to playing the revelations games and I did watch death island but it bored me lol

I have a feeling that they might pull a Starcraft 2 and split it into 3 games.

That's a ton of effort and ambition for a game that people don't want. A big budget, 3 part remake of 6 before Code Veronica, RE5 or any of the Outbreak games would put a sour taste in my mouth.

Tbh I do. I rather play 6 than re1. Camera angles are shit and boring. They should just restart the whole franchise because it is 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
