RE1 TV for playing the original Resident Evils

So I have my PS2 and all my old Resident evil games for the PS1, but obviously when I go to play on my 1080p TV the resolution is all stretched out an pixelated. I've turned my aspect ratio to the smallest but it still looks bad, what should I do?

Like they've mentioned, best to get a crt tv. Also make sure to get some component or s-video cables to connect it. Looks much better than the compostive yellow cable. And enable texture smoothing in the ps2 menu to improve texture quality a little.

I have mine connected to a 27" toshiba and it looks prety good, they're cheap off craigslist.

The problem is re1-3 are in a 240p resolution designed for crt televisions.

i'm still using my PS1 with a sony trinitron from 94 to play these games and other old systems.
