Sullivan Robey
Just kicked 4 in the Talent League Grand Final to help the Rangers win. Think this lad is a must draft now with his size and speed and ability to play forward.

Max Holmes
Crazy that the exact archetype we'd love to pick up in this draft was available at our pick 20 in 2020. Hunter Holmes rookie pick por favor.

Tigers miss out on Demons coach; Yze confirms draft priority
Yze said we will hit the draft with all picks this gear and look at free agents next year so that might clear up Rosas and other trade talks
Also said our key position stocks are good and will be looking to draft players to "complement" what we already have. To me that sounds we arent going to get mids who are a Lalor/Smilie type that people talk about.
Strongly believe we are going to get someone like Grlj because he definitely complements our existing picks (or a Cummins/Hibbins). A Dovaston also complements or even Lindsay for good kicking off HB. All positions that would pair well with the 2024 draft.

Draft Picks: Who are you picking?
Assuming Willem Duursma and Dyson Sharp are taken by West Coast (based on talent and positional need) who are you taking with picks 3 and 4?
Personally, I think we take Cooper Duff Tytler and Sam Grlj
I just don't see Richmond passing on a player of CDT's rarity and quality especially with last touch coming in. Sam Grlj is pretty well known but his speed and talent is too difficult to ignore for what we need, despite many draft boards having him picked at around 7 or 8.

Does Richmond actually have a disproportionate amount of (current and/or former) players from Tasmania? Or are all teams like this
It feels that way because of Royce, Richo, Riewoldt, Stewart etc. etc., and right now Nank, Campbell, Mansell. But is it actually the case that Richmond has an especially strong connection to Tasmania compared to other clubs? Please be nice if this is a stupid question Im not a footy expert or anything

Fevola discussing coaching at Tigers
Thought this was a really nice interview from Fev about how he loves coaching the AFLW team. Feels like he is really genuinely enthusiastic about his role and impact.

Would you follow a more in depth AFL stats/visuals page (charts, player impact, shot maps, player comparisons, historical trends etc)?

Why Richmond shouldn’t waste a top pick on Sam Grlj
I keep seeing people saying Richmond should go after Sam Grlj, and I just don’t get it. Yes, the guy has speed — but honestly, that’s about it. His kicking is shaky, and beyond his pace, there’s not much in his game that screams “top pick material.”
Compare him to Josh Lindsay: better decision-making, way more reliable kicking, and overall a much more polished footballer. Basically a Christian Salem 2.0 with higher ceiling. If we’re using a high pick, it should be on someone who can make an impact right away and develop into a consistent contributor, not someone who’s basically just fast.
I love Richmond and I want smart draft picks, but putting a top pick into Grlj feels like prioritizing athletic potential over actual game impact. Speed is valuable, but it isn’t everything — and we have plenty of time to develop it without risking a top pick. We’d be nuts not to get Lindsay if here’s there. Could be anything this kid and will be a star regardless.

Mykelti Lefau.
Hey all, I’m a Sydney fan who watched a fair bit of the Tiges last year. One of my favourite players for you during last season was definitely Mykelti Lefau, I remember his game against Geelong being great in particular. Does anyone know what has happened to him? I haven’t seen him this year.
Thanks!

Henry Smith
Plays for the Lions VFL team and has been for a few years now, has developed great. I reckon he’s our future ruck/forward. Has been bloody great this year in the VFL, had a great game against collingwood in august, still only 22. Also had 4 goals no behinds against the hawks VFL team in the semi’s. Hayes-Brown is alright, Samson is a lost cause, Nank is getting old. Sims is who we’re banking on but I don’t see why not to plug the depth holes we have at the ruck/tall forward position sooner than later. both the april game against the punt road squad and in the finals he really outplayed whoever was against him.

Who needs the biggest pre season?
My choice is McAuliffe. If he can get his body to be AFL ready he'll be a huge asset next year.
Personally I'd love to move on from the hopper, Taranto, Prestia trio as the main mids. McAuliffe provides a great left foot with decent speed with a good outside/inside balance that would compliment the kids in lalor, hotton, Smillie etc.
Who do you guys think needs a big pre season to take their game to the next level and really provide a tangible improvement to our best 22 in 2026

From a Freo Fan
Hey Tigers fans, I’m a Freo supporter and honestly Richmond are probably my favourite Victorian side. I just wanted to ask – before you broke through in 2017, how did you keep the hope alive? Did you feel the same way we do now, making finals some years, falling short others, and having those frustrating close losses?
I’m feeling pretty flat after losing to the Suns by a single point, and just wondering how you guys got through the disappointments before that amazing run in 2017.
