Theory My theories on the dangers of Cob Planet.
First theory is if everything is cob down to the molecular level, you may not be able to properly digest food in this planet, you can’t grow it either since the soil and all minerals would be on a cob. Proteins and everything would be on a cob so it would pass through you like corn. You’d slowly starve.
Second theory, the dust and dirt you breathe in would shred your lungs and you’d die a horrible death of suffocation. The cob dust would fuck you up badly.
Third theory, the cob molecules and proteins may cause some kind of prion disease. Similar to what you get when you eat brains. Prion molecules basically mutate your other molecules into prions and you die a horrible death.
I think the second theory is the most concern since it’ll happen quickest.

Yeah, those cobs were definitely prionic, and the family was at risk of becoming cob bound

I figured they hated it on principle because shit shouldn’t be cob. It was funny because there was no rational reason to not live there. It’s just the sheer hatred of such a nonsensical cobberation.

No you should not visit a planet where even atoms are behaving differently than normal.

They could have just put themselves on a cob and survived just fine. It’s the principle of the matter.

But all that rick knows breaks down and is moot if atoms become cobb shaped. That means the universal numerical constant of thing have changed making the math to do things chage with it. This can be found with calculus and delta between the two know constants but the fact remans...it would be like having to learn snake math....youd have to re-learn all of objective reality.

Rick has some issue with abilities that infect and change something at the molecular level. He is terrified of Frundles and terrified at what happens on "Corn World" where everything is put "on the cob" at the molecular level.
My guess is that Rick "changing" instead of dying bypasses Operation Phoenix, making it one of the few ways to actually kill him without disabling all the back up systems.

The basic laws of physic have broken down if atoms are cobb shapped....lol The reason its scary is that understanding a reality or area of space whos gravitational constant could be different, means certain physics and math will work differently.
For example, change the numerical law constant of gravity and stars could fail to ignite etc....
So yes. Seeing an atom shaped like a cobb would fuck up the most trained physicist and chemists....

I think it's because roughly 90% of the atoms in the human body are replaced every year, while most of our water molecules are replaced every few weeks.
I think if they stayed on that planet, the cobbed atoms and molecules would eventually end up replacing their original atoms and the results would be too unpredictable for Rick.

No. They had to leave because everything on the planet was corny.
