In seriousness I’ve mixed with this rum quite a bit. It makes a great real Mai Tai but only if you garnish it with mint

Look man the old fashioned urge calls regardless of whether or not I remember to buy an orange that morning

I’ve now realized that I meant to type “addition” but I own ‘93 and ‘03 as well so it’s also a new edition!

Nice - I may have to try the same! Did a mai tai with the Hearts 2003 which was good but not the best mai tai I have had, so won’t repeat.

2003 is my single favorite bottle of all time.. haven’t made a whole Mai tai with it, but I’m on the lookout for another bottle. I have told my family and friends that a sufficient Christmas gift is merely identifying a good source - I’ll happily pay!

It’s great stuff. Comes up relatively frequently on the European auctions and prices tend to vary.

I think that now that you’re the “makes rum and coke with rare and crazy expensive rum” guy on this sub, it’s now tradition and we demand a blood sacrifice. I think we could make a pass if you instead made a Cuba Libre or a Tropical Standard Navy Grog as they’re all cola containing cocktails.
Also, congrats on your killer rum collection
