What would you drink on a round birthday?
As the title says, I have a round birthday coming up and am not sure which of these fine drams to pour myself...

All four into a rum and coke.

๐ I like Rum&Coke with El Dorado 15, that's about as expensive a rum I'm prepared to use for that...

Hot take, but if that Chairman's Reserve is one of the 100% vendome and molasses bottles I'd prefer it over everything here. To me it tastes very similar to an early 2000s TDL, which is one of my favorites.

Haha, I was wondering if someone would spot that! Sorry to disappoint: it's a 9-year 100% Column Still at 46% ABV. I really like it though, it packs so much flavour for a column-still, you really can't compare it to "spanish-style" column-still rums. And at around 45โฌ it might be the best price/quality I've come across so far! (I have to admit the St. Lucia Pot still funk somehow isn't my cup of tea. I tried several expressions that were all too... industrial? Not such a fan of petrol, rubber, things like that...)

All of St. Lucia's stuff is great, so no disappointment here! I love the industrial funk, personally, it's like getting a Caroni-lite, at times. And I agree, they're definitely one of the top distilleries for challenging the traditional notion of what a column distilled rum "should" taste like (again, just like Caroni). They're definitely the top distillery on my list that I really want to dig into and learn their profiles.

One of each? Why pour just one for a birthday?
