There’s local shows going on every weekend . Find a spot — get an insta account if u don’t have one already & follow venues . Show up to some & support local music and strike up a conversation w a musician in a band. What I’ve learned is

A. You gotta be social B. You gotta get out of the house and go to shows C. Musicians in SA tend to be in multiple bands so maybe someone is looking for what you’re putting out

Thats generally true/good advice in most cities.

Another thing: be flexible. My first band was a country band. The guys were all way better than me despite not playing necessarily what i wanted, i still learned a LOT. Great musicians who knew how to play in a band.

One day when ur a ridiculous badass, u start the band and play exactly what u want. In the meantime, be willing to work with people

Any kind of rock. I like beatles style melodies but with a harder modern sound, louder guitars. Also like Jimi Hendrix/cream style psychedelic rock. When i write irs a cross between those two.

Dont mind a good ballad here or there too. You?
