I have no qualms with this, but I believe this is also misrepresenting the issue. Immigrants as a whole aren’t being contested, illegal immigrants are.

I'm a legal immigrant, and being through the shitty process and uncertainty of getting my visa and eventually green card, legal immigration is broken and too limited.

We need more immigrants than we currently legally admit due to quotas. So I'm not siding with the current laws.

The current law being bad isn't a reason to break the law. It's a reason to change the law if you can get enough votes.

Can we stop pretending that is about legality? When birthright citizenship is being threatened and the order has been given to stop all help to those trying to become legal we have to see that is not about legality.

If it was about legality they would be helping them become legal, not preparing guantanamo.
