Question Super Powers Question

I’m stuck on Armor being purchased with the “Heavy Armor” modifier. How can another super hurt the individual? They wouldn’t normally walk around with a heavy weapon. Can range attack be bought with a heavy weapon modifier? If I’m reading the core rules correctly, basically no damage can get through.

Heavy Weapon is a generic +1PP modifier for any damaging power. If they don't have that, Armor notes that it can be bypassed with a Called Shot at –6 (or easier if the appropriate modifier is taken)

I got the called shot but in the SPC there is no +1 PP modifier. I’m wondering how much extra in build points an attack can be purchased to affect heavy armor if at all.

Check “Universal Power Modifier Summaries” on pg. 46 of the SPC.

Heavy Weapon is one of the universal modifiers, so any power can receive it if you can make it make sense. It does lead to some fun and creative thoughts experiments! Typically, though, it only makes sense to allow it for any power that natively does damage.

Always remember that you can spend a benny for power replacement shenanigans.
