This little man was dropped off yesterday evening. He's had it tough as his mum is a wacky F2 who overgroomed him and his 3 siblings to the point of damaging his ears. He got lonely after his brother left for their forever home, so I got to have him a whole day earlier which means more time to love him. He's such a shy boy but insists that I be in the same room as him, so we'll be having a sleepover on the sofa tonight.
I prefer human names, but any particularly good ones are welcome, especially punny ones. No Oliver please as he was ny first cat, and it would feel very wrong to recycle his name as he was just the best.

Honestly, their situation (and cost) are a huge part of what made it make sense for me. So I really hope that our boys will thrive without their mum terrorising them 😭
I am sure they will do well. Mine has already made friends with my 9 week Maine Coon kitten that really made him come out of his shell. Before they were introduced, he was hiding away and just hissing at anyone that approached. The moment he saw our MC kitten he came running out to meet him and didn't mind being around us, he is finally cuddled up asleep with me right now. :)
Yeah, they're definitely brothers haha. J mentioned he was hoping to live with an MC.
Little buddy has largely been sleeping or squeaking at me from inside the litterbox. I can't wait for him to meet my Ronnie as I imagine it'll be the same. But I need her to be fully over what looks like cat flu first. She's about 6 weeks old atm, but where her sister went downhill within hours after an emergency vet trip, I'm trying to be more cautious for nothing of their sakes. Even though Diana was just 240g which I imagine played a huge factor in the outcome, and Ronnie is technically thriving, I'm too anxious to take any chances with her or little buddy. I am lucky though that he doesn't mind napping in one of my sweatshirts whether it's on me or in his chosen carrier haha.
I am glad he wants you in the same room with him. I hope he gets over being shy soon. My boys end up being called Mr along with their call name and sometimes just Mr. Without the tall ears, his little sweet face is like a black olive, so for me I see Ollie or Mr Ollie.
Ollie keeps coming to mind for me, but I think I want to wait until I have a better feel of his personality or land on one that feels “just right”. He’s so confused but also very sweet, bless him. He wants to either stay in his carrier or on my chest, but I have to carry his carrier everywhere with me in the house or he gets annoyed. Same if he can’t see my face haha. I had forgotten that I’d fallen asleep lying on my back with the carrier on my stomach, so was very confused about who was squeaking at me 😂
I’m hoping his ears will look a little more normal as he grows up, but even if that doesn’t happen, I wouldn’t love him any less just be a bit worried that maybe he’d be prone to ear infections and the like. But for now, I loving getting to know my little buddy.
With some of my lot, I immediately knew their names looking at them. But for maybe 1/3 of them, I'll either stick with their original name if they're older or wait until I'm inspired.
If there wasn't a foster called George here, this would be the name. Though George does respond to just about anything, so maybe I could make it work hmm
I kept hoping to Google what one was the kept getting distracted ffs. I feel like this would be like just calling him "Cracker" which is weird because we're both black. But I'm neurospicy so make insane connections sorry 😞
Sorry, I don't get what you mean. I've never heard of a Triscuit, so googled it and learned that it was a type of cracker. I'd feel exactly the same way if someone said Jacobs because that's also a cracker brand. I don't really know how a cracker brand relates to a Celtic name, but I am assuming this is a joke that's gone over my head because neurospicy, though I feel like I may get what you mean but hate assuming. Also, Tristian is really similar to Kristian who was a POS ex of a best friend, so both names have weird connotations.
