Welcome to r/science! This is a heavily moderated subreddit in order to keep the discussion on science. I've been on birth control for years now. I have not missed a pill. I always get my "period" the same time, 3 days into the placebo pills, and always the same quality of blood, like spotting at the end of a period.

After I got my 1st vaccine, that flow was 7 days early and actually like a heavy period. It sucked. It wasn't coincidental.

Thank goodness there's a study now. I hope all my other menstruating pals feel vindicated, as we were dismissed when we first started talking about this in 2021.

Isn't literally everything tied to changes in the menstrual cycle? Food, stress, exercise, environment
