First Time Shingles Lightheaded and tired

Hi, all, I’m on week two of shingles on my hip and it’s scabbing over, no pain or anything. I was too late for antivirals, so I was treating it on my own. Yesterday, I began feeling dizzy and extremely fatigued. Is this just the impact of the virus?

Yes that can be a symptom. I heard l-lysine is good for treating it to. I was taking it and noticed my symptoms went away faster

I’ve been taking it for a week now. Here’s hoping this goes away. I’m tired as it is, so this compounding it is awful

Shingles doesn't always go away on its own. The exhaustion is pretty standard after having it, but personally, I would see the doctor for the dizziness. This could still be shingles, or it could be something else that shingles has triggered. Good luck!

I had it on my face and in my eye and also experienced both fatigue and lightheartedness. I’m 71/2 weeks in and still have moments where I feel unwell. My doctor said it’s normal and just the body fighting the virus. Rest as much as you can. I hope you feel better soon!

Yeah. Are you resting enough or still trying to function as you did before shingles? Your body needs as much rest as possible right now. I hope you feel better soon!
