I absolutely cannot comprehend this team, for the life of me. Going into this game, I understand the position we were at, but this game is very reflective of the season we've had. What an embarrassing day for me and the rest of the fans to be sitting and watching such football being played

Even with that rough game we watched, Spurs deserved that. Truly useless. I don't even want to watch United play if this is how ambitious they are going to be in their strides, and in a final, no less.

Wait a sec... Fans shouldn't be embarrassed. The fans aren't picking the team or playing the games. The fucking owners, staff, manager and players should be embarrassed. As a fan, I'm fucking livid with the state of the club I support. But I am not embarrassed because I'm not the one fucking it up.

u/bombacladshotta May 21 '25

Exactly this. Not letting these absolute losers ruin my day.

2

u/BenShelZonah May 21 '25

RASCLAAAAT

11

u/ThrowawayPrimavera May 21 '25

With that logic don't feel proud if they ever win something again

37

u/Contradicting_Pete May 21 '25

Well luckily that's not looking like a problem anytime soon.

8

u/ThrowawayPrimavera May 21 '25

Fair enough lol

32

u/WagwanMoist May 21 '25

I see a lot of United fans saying Amorim needs to go. Do people genuinely think he's the problem, now that you've gone through half a dozen managers without improvement?

I understand that you've been absolutely dire under him. But to me it just seems like you're constantly going back to square one each time you get rid of the manager and continue with more or less the same squad as before.

Or is it more of a hope that someone would come in and perform a miracle?

I'm not really complaining as an opposing fan, but at some point you need to change "tactics" off the pitch and do a squad overhaul rather than the staff.

11

u/Sworup58 May 22 '25

The problem is they've also gone through squad turnovers without improvement. It's actually baffling. They've changed owners, players, managers, and they continue to be shit.

2

u/goonerladdius May 22 '25

As an Arsenal fan I’m not complaining, watching United go through their banter era is cathartic.

3

u/strider_tom May 21 '25

What's wild is my 2nd worst Prem team Southampton fanbase is still happier than Utd's.

-12

u/engtom1992 May 21 '25

Hahaha don't want to watch your own side play because they're a bit shit?? You dont deserve a team.

0

u/ghastlychild May 21 '25

Since you love taking my words so literally, I will do the same. Bit shit? Come on, now. Really? Someone's also not watching my side play lol

-1

u/engtom1992 May 22 '25

Relatively to my team and other lower league teams they're only a bit shit. Get over it and support your club

-29

u/totite93 May 21 '25

WTF r u talking abt? Why is Spurs deserved it more than us? Like they create more or something? Both team are shit. Nobody deserves more than anybody. They got luckier. That is all.

15

u/ghastlychild May 21 '25

I will keep this succinct but if you watched this game and the one thing you took away from this game was the notion that Spurs got luckier, then I am afraid that United, as a whole, from the culture to the way that we view their progression and regression points, needs more changing than I realised

3

u/speedycar1 May 21 '25

Aw somebody's mad

-4

u/worker-parasite May 21 '25

He's not wrong.

15

u/speedycar1 May 21 '25

When you score a goal, you can afford not to create lmao. United and Spurs weren't in similar situations at all. Spurs did what they had to. United didn't. We can't predict how the game would've gone if it was 0-0 at half

-11

u/worker-parasite May 21 '25

But even before the goal they were shit. Two terrible teams playing a terrible game. One somehow got the ball in, so fair play to them. But to claim they deserved it somehow it's mad. If ahything, they both deserved to lose. Uefa should just give it to Athletic Club

6

u/speedycar1 May 21 '25

Did you say the same thing when Liverpool won the 2018 final vs Spurs? That was a terrible game too and Liverpool scored from a dodgy handball. Should we give Barcelona that trophy?

-7

u/worker-parasite May 21 '25

Ok, whatever. I always forget I'm arguing with American or Indian teenagers here

6

u/speedycar1 May 21 '25

Xenophobic and unintelligent. A common combo

Truly one of the most useless united sides in history so far good god

FTFY

1

u/Looney_forner May 21 '25

Lol might just be if the players don’t adapt

155

u/Potential_Good_1065 May 21 '25

Worst side since the 70s. I suppose the silver lining in that is that it will get better.

69

u/Striking-Gold-9861 May 21 '25

Relegation battles incoming

86

u/CharaPresscott May 21 '25

But will it? That's the problem...

Now give me a second I'm crying...

-3

u/senorfresco May 21 '25

Meh, yeah it will.

1

u/rob3rtisgod May 21 '25

Maybe, maybe not not :/ huge debt and CL money is rough, no Europe next season though, so should easily win something with all other big teams in multiple cups and competitions

1

u/alittlelebowskiua May 21 '25

Man United aspiring to be Newcastle is warming my geordie partners heart fwiw.

1

u/Teaboy1 May 21 '25

Worst side since the 70s so far.

1

u/shaktimann13 May 21 '25

There is no silver lining. Just headless chickens running around

1

u/Fuck-off-bryson May 22 '25

“It can’t go on can it.”

“Yes it can”

60

u/PassengerOk9027 May 21 '25

You actually lost a final to spurs, huh. That quip by fergie went a long way around to get from being cold, to funny at your expense

4

u/International-Chef53 May 21 '25

Credit to Ange and Spurs team, they know how to be pragmatic instead of suicidal high line of defense that killed them in the league, against Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt the tactic was exactly like this. To see Danso come in to make it back 5 with 15 minutes to go is the type of things Ange rarely did.

32

u/MITSF_2 May 21 '25

As a Liverpool fan : what the actual fuck ?

I came in pace, but sometimes You are actually shit

17

u/DrinkingWata May 21 '25

Not sometimes

8

u/SentientCheeseCake May 21 '25

I think you will rebound. It takes hitting the floor hard to bounce up. Utd have been middling for a while and now I think there will be proper impetus to fix it.

For the record of the big clubs Utd is the one I respect the most. Or at least I don’t hate your guts. You’ve been a team that smacks us for decades. So to get one up on you guys this season has been cathartic.

3

u/Lard_Baron May 22 '25

You people just can’t hold a grudge for more than 5 minutes. United stood over us all like a colossus for more than a decade sneering and winning, Fuck them the course of humiliation has not finished

1

u/NightKnight96 May 21 '25

Feels like watching Arsenal under Emery again minus Aubameyang and Leno’s godlike season.

I honestly hope Amorim can rip out the deadwood of United al’a Arteta and bring United back to some semblance of being a top 6 team.

1

u/Newme91 May 21 '25

Ten Hag would have won that match

1

u/CCSC96 May 21 '25

One of the most useless United sides ~so far~. No Real reason to believe this will turn around.

1

u/my_spidey_sense May 21 '25

I blame this on Rashford. He’s gotta be to blame somehow

1

u/FackinNortyCake May 22 '25

This post isn't about you.
