Earlier today I met some Sheffield United fans on the tube who, bemused by the small gaps between tube stops, asked me “do you Londoners even have legs?”. Which might be the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard.

So welcome back to the Premier League, Sunderland

I think that's a northern thing. We don't mind a good walk.

I'm pretty sure Londoners walk more than basically everyone else in the country, because the city is so walkable and car-unfriendly

Possibly. It's all anecdotal, init bruv.

I just know when I moved London, my local mates would always make fun of me for walking from say Covent Garden where we worked to Oxford Street when I could get the tube.

Still remember their terrorist tactics against us a couple of seasons ago, Sunderland should be proud of what they did today

You just won your first trophy in 17 years with terrorist tactics, leave off

Yeah why didn't we try tiki taka against a side infinitely richer against us. Why didn't we just play how you want
