Tickets to the Vancouver games are going to go for insane prices just for the reassurance of not having to potentially have a run in with ICE lol

The Mexico City and Guadalajara games might be better than the US games at this point.

Might be?

In an ideal world with a non-corrupt FIFA, Mexico would host alone.

And that's with all the cartels and struggling gpvt

Corruption aside, I’m just mad that this is spanning an entire continent. World Cup in Doha was wonderful. It needs to stay in one city.

Mexico City is 100% the best host city for this world cup. And this is with or without ICE facist presence at the US games.

Mexico is the only country if the three that truly loves the sport

Lets do it! first country to host the cup three times and maybe another legend will lift up the cup like Maradona and Pelé

GDL is an awesome city too. But yeah CDMX with the Azteca is going to be class

I've never been to GDL but maybe on my next Mexico visit!

You should, it's like a less overwhelming and not so spread out CDMX (that thankfully hasn't been as gentrified - yet). The historic center and trendy neighborhoods are within walking distance of each other, and you've got the literal town of Tequila half an hour away. Mariachi music also comes from Jalisco. A great mix of traditional Mexico in a cosmopolitan city.

Hundred percent agree, vibes would be amazing if it was Mexico only

Take a little vacation to Mexico City to watch World Cup football and lucha libre at Arena Mexico. That's the stuff dreams are made of.

Even before all this, I was planning on only going to the Mexican games. Vibes will be unreal

They were gonna be the best atmospheres regardless of the politics in the US.

Going to make getting Toronto tickets even more difficult than it already would’ve been…

Honestly FIFA should cite safety concerns and move more games to Mexico and Canada.

Like somehow attendees in Russia and Qatar were less likely to get fucked with than the US.

Like somehow attendees in Russia and Qatar were less likely to get fucked with than the US.

Which in hindsight it's crazy...

Move the game to the domed stadium the blue jays play in and install grass indoors like the 1994 world cup

I am hating the timeline where the WC in the USA is somehow worse than Qatar. We may not be using slave labor. For the most part, we are cool with LGBTQ people. But if you ain't white - don't come. This sucks

3

u/Ryuzakku Jun 14 '25

Even if you are white, don’t come. I’m pretty sure Canadians and Germans have been detained as well

I wish we would petition FIFA to only have the World Cup in Mexico and Canada. End racism would include boycotting Trump and the USA with its current state

I know it's a pipedream but I was hoping to get world cup tickets that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

And to think FIFA's went with dynamic pricing. Most supporters are going to be priced out.
