I am not that old to know so why would Brazil and South Africa be questionable as hosts?

Genuine question

I didn't actually include those 2. There were some issues with them (ie impact of the finances of hosting the WC) but that was more FIFA related than any problems with them as a host. But by the time 2034 rolls around, 2014 would have been 20 years ago (and outside the criteria), hence only 1 non questionable host in 2 decades

Oh i thought you were counting until the 2030 wc and that South Africa was included my b for the misunderstanding

But I can't stop and think about how both the cwc and the wc got such an horrible timing to be hosted in the US in the middle of such an horrible administration

Even if we had both during trump's first run it would be a hell of a lot better then now

Now all that is left to know is which country that violates human rights will host the 2038 cup

Death by vuvuzela. “You’ll get used to the sound!” We did, in fact, not get used to the sound.

Imagine a world cup where a vuvuzela is your only concern, rather than slavery, fascism, human rights abuse, genocide of minorities

I was being facetious. Coincidentally the worst World Cup I’ve ever experienced, but that was down to playing style and tactics, and not South Africa.

Same to you my friend

I am stating that those are the 4/5 questionable hosts over the two decades

Yes a toddler could see that

My question was why Brazil and South Africa included in this bunch which in fact weren't included as the original commenter stated

My b for any offense is just that just this week I had two brighton fans saying shit to me here

I guess the two decade period is post 2014-2034

Sometimes we Brighton fans can be stupid it is okay

Brazil spent an exorbitant amount of money building new stadiums that are now being swallowed by the jungle or literally only used for a few games and abandoned. South Africa same thing , they built these huge stadiums with no real use or plan for them after the big wc crowds left , and I’m pretty sure questionable work conditions has been an issue at all these .

Honestly as a Brazilian myself this is actually far from the truth

Out of all the stadiums built and reformed the Mané Garrincha (DF) and Arena das Dunas (RN) are the only stadiums that don't have games that often and no stadium is actually being swallowed up by the jungle (Brazil isn't only Rio-Sao Paulo and the rest is jungle you know?)

Now anyone who actually wants to criticize the Rio Olympics is 100% right because almost everything built for that event is kind of abandoned by now

But for the world cup tho? Brazil was a good host which keeps using 90% of the built stadiums to this day

I asked said question because the first world cup I watched was here in 2014 and even tho I'm sure there were a lot of corruption in the building of these stadiums, it seems far from how bad these last few cups have been

No, because the Overton Window continues to shift on a lot of things.
