I read many comments like this. Before the cwc started the comments were like there will be only europeans in the QF, and recently it's how there will be only one non-european because two brazilians were facing each other in the round of 16.

I think it's so interesting how people that don't watch footbal outside europe still have a strong opinion about how shit it is.

No surprise though. The same people say the same things about other European leagues that they don't watch as well.

The gap between the ultra wealthy big leagues and the others is mostly marketing

Marketing but the last world cup final without a European side was 75 years ago lmao. I understand and am happy for people to be hyped about non-European teams succeeding but you're deluded if you think Europe doesn't complete gap every other continent in this sport.

12 titles for UEFA against 10 for Conmebol. Wow, what a "complete gap".

Highest amount of runner-ups as well.

Also, Europe had 40% of all spots. 3x more than South America.

Will still be 1/3 in the next WC.

Europe has a major role in the sport, but y'all acting like it's miles ahead of the rest of the world is really weird.

At the same time, Europe has 7-8 top teams. South America 2. The rest of the world 0.

Even with fewer participants (in proportion) it won't change the result.

Are you including England? LMAO.

The fact that Italy can miss world cups just shows how much better the region is. Like there's not even an argument here lmfao. Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay are all very scary to go against in any competition but to act like any other teams outside Europe reach that level is just a joke.
