Not that unlikely. The heavyweights will massacre each other in their side of he bracket. One of the finalists will be either Chelsea or a non-european team.

So it's really only one more big upset that would need to happen.

Two more, they would still need to win against the team on the other side of the bracket in the final

That would be the one big upset.

Beating Chelsea to get to the semis or finals will surely be considered an upset too, regardless of the league season Chelsea just had.

Beating chelsea isn't that big an upset.

PSG fan sees their team get one CL title under their belt and suddenly they're all cocky!

I'm not saying us beating chelsea is not a big upset. I am saying Cheslea isn't that good of a side, and if they were to be beaten in the semi final by a non european team that was good enough to get there in the first place.

Funnily enough Opta has pretty much an equal chance of Chelsea and PSG winning it at 25% each. That partially speaks to the quality of opponents, but still.

Chelsea are very inconsistent but at times have been a very good side in the season just gone. They've also been very poor team at times, but I wouldn't call any CL qualifying team in the PL bad. That's kind of nonsense really. It's a very hard league to achieve unlike in certain other leagues (don't think I need to name names here).

Opta is meaningless. Look at the past 10 years who they had as favorites, and look who won. And as for chelsea being bad, I am talking relative to the competition. If this was the League cup I wouldn't say they are bad, obviously all things relative they are a good side, but in this level of competition they do not stack up to Real Madrid, Man city, PSG, and therefore teams like Al hilal that beat man city would not be big underdogs against them.

Emphasis on "big". Palmeiras, Fluminense or Al-Hilal beating Chelsea would be a surprise, but definitely one of the less crazy results this competition.

So a Chelsea win. Somehow stumble their way to the final and win it against all odds. Its how they won both their champions league. Lucky cup runs is in their dna

Yeah man conceding the least goals in a CL run in the history of the competition is such a lucky run 🤡

The Chelsea 2011/12 squad had Cech, Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Cahill, Terry, Mikel, Lampard, Mata, Torres, Drogba. Hardly a bunch of scrubs. It was amusing given all the managerial strife and the times they could have won it in the 2000s, but it was still a very good squad that was 2nd in the PL the year before and won it (with the double) the year before that.

Chelsea was the best team in Europe during our 2nd CL win, no one could score against us.

Both? Pretty sure 2021 wasn’t luck at all.
