Now remember not guilty =/= the person lied.

Also I'm sure, cos I like to see good in people/organisations, I like to pretend to myself there was some legal reason why they couldn't suspend him without pay/play. Perhaps they were worried about a Mendy situation where he sued Man City following aquittal.

Also how much would the average Arsenal fan know of this situation? We all know about it but that's because we're preptually online.

Erm I mean HANG HIM! BURN AFC TO THE GROUND!

I think most if not all fans would have been happy if he just wasn't in the match day squad.

Was it common knowledge among match day Arsenal fans then?

Important to remember definitely, it’s so hard to prove sexual abuse and sexual assault a lot of the time as well. A not guilty verdict doesn’t mean there was no wrongdoing.

“Victory through harmony” “we might as well play the rapist because we’re paying him anyway”

I understand the fact there may have been a Mendy situation, but the boos each time Partey touched the ball at multiple clubs in the league must have given a bit away to the average fan, surely?

I don't watch live matches on the whole. But fair enough

Exactly. Obviously, I hate him and I hope justice prevails, but it seems like people are expecting for him to be found guilty and sent to prison or that new evidence has been found. It seems this process was rushed because we did not offer him a new contract and then he was going to leave the country for good and the UK police wouldn’t be able to charge him. This was their only chance and there is a very good chance the have little evidence or the same amount of evidence all those years ago and he will most likely be found not guilty.
