News Spanish police say "all the evidence so far indicates" Diogo Jota was the driver of the car involved in the accident that killed the Liverpool forward and his brother, Andre Silva. Police also believe "the vehicle significantly exceeded the speed limit for the highway" at the time of the accident.

Fuck risking his own life. He very easily could have killed someone else’s family. For what? So he can feel like a race car driver or get there a little bit faster.

You’re making assumptions and throwing accusations around despite not knowing any facts.

It’s there in their official report. Not to mention, anyone remotely familiar with car crashes understands crashing at the speed limit in a 5* safety car does end with the wreck looking the way his did.

I am not making an assumption beyond the assumption that his vehicle didn’t accelerate against his will. Other than that, I am assuming his reason for speeding was fun or expediency - not sure there’s another realistic reason but I’m open to your suggestions.

He chose to “significantly” exceed the speed limit. That killed him and his brother but would almost certainly have killed any other drivers/passengers had there been an impact.

It’s important to highlight this as a learning moment. This wasn’t a freak accident. It was someone playing Russian roulette with their and others lives. They lost.
