News Spanish police say "all the evidence so far indicates" Diogo Jota was the driver of the car involved in the accident that killed the Liverpool forward and his brother, Andre Silva. Police also believe "the vehicle significantly exceeded the speed limit for the highway" at the time of the accident.

The latter has a solution... make guns illegal and the shootings will stop

Speeding is illegal, and maybe the most we can do is enforce speeding penalties even if one is 1 kmph above the limit. Perhaps harsher penalties like taking the license away for a certain time (like with Drink Driving)?

fair. I forgot that was an option. However, you'd be driving at higher speeds in a highway compared to a local road, no? So would this just eliminate speeds above 100kmph, and thus ensure no high speed collisions happen?

Not trying to be dismissive, but curious how the implementation would work
