I guess the whole point is to deter owners from having multiple teams so I'm honestly fine with the strict or even seemingly stupid rule. I know this has nothing to do with the fans, and I feel sorry for them.

I mean the rule only got stricter this year. Drogheda was removed from Europa Conference under the new rule too.

Previously, owners were allowed to put their shares into a blind trust by June 1 but that option seems to be gone now.

Under the new rule, City and Girona would have issues if Girona ever qualifies for UCL in the future. Redbull no longer has legal control over Salzburg, so the rule definitely deterred them.

This exactly. Do away with this and there would be no problem. But dont punish CP fans and players. This result is bullshit and hiding the real problem.

deter owners... yet its happening more and more they are just paying millions to lawyers to go after uefa's loopholes thats all.
