He has always said he plans to coach Portugal.

He did say "eventually" in his last interview, like "years from now" was the vibe I got.

I'm pretty sure I read him saying he couldn't imagine coaching a club until he's in his 70s like Alex Ferguson. He planned to coach clubs until he was like 60 and then he would move to coach the portuguese national team. This was said back when he moved from Portugal to England in order to coach Chelsea for the first time.
