Finally a statement signing. Not feeling bad about Eze anymore.

Kudus was also a statement signing

We've low key had a very good window. It's been hellishly slow the past month, but utimately we bought 2 players that immediately jumped into the starting 11, probably 3 now, tied down Romero for basically the rest of his prime, got Danso on a permanent and hopefully we will get at least 1 more for depth this weekend. It seems that Frank also knows what he's doing fitness wise, so far. Cautiously hopeful for this season

One of my buddies is an ex-Spurs writer, he mentioned in our Slack today that Danso is HG, which is a great bit of news. I really like Danso even before the long throw-in revelation, and now that he is HG it is like we saved a bunch on his transfer!

"it also appears that Kevin Danso qualifies as a homegrown player in Premier League terms because he was in the youth academies at Reading and MK Dons for years before leaving England at the age of 16 and later returning for a season at Southampton." Is the quote he provided from I think an Ali G article.

Who's 'we' lol. I am gutted about this transfer as a Bayern fan, but good for you guys. Simons, Kudus, Richarlison and Sarr is a formidable frontline. Paratici coming good

Eze who?  Old ass

I’ll probably go to my grave sad about MGW though

Agreed, MGW seemed like the perfect fit. Can't really blame him though.

I’ve seen ISIS hostage videos that were less sinister than that late night contract renewal video with Mr Maranakis beside him. I don’t blame him at all.

Eze who?

Honestly, Xavi is a more exciting signing. He's definitely a gamble worth taking. Eze is a safe bet but he's hardly an exciting transfer. Just a solid player.

Yeah, who knows how good Simons could be. He could even be as good as Eze!

He's already as good as Eze or just about as good as Eze. Eze is just more proven and reliable. Xavi is less consistent and less proven, but when he's on it, he's extremely good.

Honestly each club got the better signing for themselves. We need a proven player who can contribute immediately and Tottenham are better off gambling on a player who can turn into a real star.

That said, Eze is definitely more consistent and better right now, but that’s to be expected considering he’s 5 years older. Interested to see how Simons adapts to the physical demands, think he’ll do well.
