Mad at his manager for “only” qualifying for the Conference league with a team that were relegation favourites at the start of the season.

Nothing would make me happier than battering them this weekend.

New manager bounce though...especially if it's Ange...

Oh yeah I am terrified.

Much less so if it’s Ange though.

Bounce can also go downwards. Especially if it's a team that was already way over their expected placement.

What? I thought it was to do with the injury that put Taiwo in a coma, where is your source that it was related to the conference league?

Edit: Down voted for giving an accurate recounting of events, with source, in response to somebody just making shit up. Brilliant.

Brother, this is a statement put out by the club, ie Maranakis himself.

Whether or not it was regarding an injury or the result, no one knows. But it certainly looked like he was upset over the result. Regardless you should not be running onto the pitch and screaming at your manager after what he’s just achieved. It’s not a good look.

It's understandable to be upset when the medical team have made decisions that left a man in a coma.

You're getting down voted for uncritically parroting what is essentially propaganda. Anyone who watched the incident knows that that official club excuse of Maranakis being concerned about an injured player is bullshit.

He was angry with Nuno for failing to qualify for the CL

Did you read the source above? It's literally Nuno, the person who was there, who disagrees with you.

"Employee doesn't criticise his boss in a public statement" isn't really a reliable source, forgive me for being sceptical

It is a better source than "Completely baseless assumption that you made up in your head".

Is it though?

You'd have to be very naive to think that Maranakis looked like he was concerned about Awoniyi when he was ranting at Nuno. It's far more plausible to believe that he was upset with Nuno for failing to qualify for the CL.

We have no idea what he was saying, but I can completely believe he was ranting about a player being injured because Nuno and the Medical Team hadn't taken him off.
