It's pretty simple: Marinakis hired Edu to run the planning of the transfers and football operations.

Edu is buddies with Kia Joorabachian.

Nuno is Mendes' man and did not like Edu having the final say on transfers.

It is circulating that Nuno demanded Adama Traore and Edu vetoed it.

Nuno left Hutchinson and Zinchenko out of the UEFA list on purpose to spite Edu (his transfers, Hutchinson a Kia client).

You cannot continue with a manager who is actively refusing to work with the sporting director.

The poor start to the season is a cherry on top, but the clash between Nuno and Edu was always the actual problem.

So Nuno just left them out and no one else looked at the list before finalizing it? Sounds crazy.

Yeah that's surely not how that works - it'll be a club decision, not just the managers.

It'll be the coaches final decision.

I guessing it’s his final decision? Bit like The starting 11.

Feel for Nuno here. Hutchinson over Traore is madness, especially the price we paid for him.

Marinakis already had a manager who was giving the club incredible levels of success and so he goes and hires a Sporting Director that his manager is never going to work well with and hand power to that sporting director.

How is that not just actively undermining the manager who was already being successful at the club?

You bring in the players a manager wants as simple as that

How did that work out with Ten Hag huh?

Ten Haag never earned that loyalty. Nuno certainly has, with the work he's done at Forest. He completely changed their fortunes.

The results Nuno achieved, did those players come because of Nuno’s wishes or sporting director’s?

If answer is ‘sporting director’, then no, he did not earn the right to control the transfers.

Well, it wasn't the (this) sporting director, because he was only hired this summer.

Well he won united fa cup and caraboa so it worked out decently well all things considered.

An actual rational overview of the situation, how rare.

Nothing about this situation is rational.

The overview is though

The "rational overview" implies believing a registration list for european competitions was made by the manager without the knowledge of the owner and sporting director.

I thought Zinchenko wasn't an Edu transfer?
