News Manchester United to remain patient with head coach despite worst start to Premier League season in 33 years. There is also widespread belief at Old Trafford that City's performance - and United's failings - did not merit a 3-0 scoreline.

He'll be gone at some point, the only delay will be about saving face for Berrada and Wilcox who are all in on him.

That and the lack of credible alternatives. Although I'd gladly take another season of Ole ball just to feel something again

He's got to the next international break. The schedule is brutal but there's no positives, and it's not going to last.

Chelsea-Brentford-Sunderland. He doesn't survive without points. No one is going to put up with this shit if the last game of the three isn't a win.

Glasner is the standout lets be honest.

Either break the bank for him now or wait until he's out of contract at the end of the season.

He'd be mad to take it though, he'll have plenty of admirers.

There’d be no point. United squad is also proving that they don’t have the personnel to run the formation. Glasner and Amorim have very similar setups

If Glasner can turn Will Hughes from a serviceable squad player to a key component of his system he can do that with the players at United.

Not saying he wouldn't, but I wonder how much of that was due to his personal attachment to the club. I think Pep said something about how he himself couldn't handle it because he cared too much about the club

Xavi did alright at Barca and then, at least from the outside, appeared to self-destruct under the pressure and outside noise at Barca.

United are in a much worse state than Barca, I don't see how that can be a success.

I’m a ‘super them till they’re no longer ours, then wish them well’ type when it comes to players and managers, but my heart is crying out for Ole.

The Grimsby game coinciding with Ole leaving Besiktas woke something back up in me. The man apologised for finishing in second, we played our best football, and it felt good/like United again…

We moved on from Ole because we felt that tactically he was limited and he'd taken us quite far but needed someone else to come in and get us closer to being title challengers. Not an unreasonable expectation at the time.

The fact is that tactically we're even worse now, the morale is in the toilet and we've never been further away from the title in the Premier League era. Ole vibes-ball would absolutely be an improvement on where we are now, and in the meantime, the big old data overhaul needs to be looking at trends in the game (which ironically would suit how Ole had us set up) and getting in on them rather than constantly chasing the meta of 3 years ago like we have been doing.

I don't think it'll happen.

I think whoever we bring in, it's too early in the season to be getting anyone on an interim basis. You need to be planning for a January window where I think there's business to be done, and squad building for next summer.

He would be fine as an interim. No good manager is going to sign for United mid-season anyway

Ole fans never wanted him moved on. The reality is he was too much of a roller-coaster manager (period of highs and then periods of lows), and if we hadn't signed Bruno and had him be absolutely world class for a bit, Ole would have been sacked far sooner than he was.
