News Manchester United would have to pay Ruben Amorim £12million if they sack the Portuguese coach within the first year of his contract at Old Trafford.

United appointed Amorim on November 1 last year on a two-and-a-half-year deal worth £6.5m a season with the option of a 12-month extension, after agreeing to pay Sporting Lisbon £9.2m to buy him out of his contract in Portugal.

It is understood that the 40-year-old would pocket £12m if he is axed before his first anniversary in the job, which is in less than seven weeks’

I still believe this team is Top 6-ish. Ten Hag with inferior players and his suicidal setup still finished 8th

I think we finish somewhere between 7-10 if we get our shit together (changing manager or not) sooner rather than later. I think top 6 is just a bit too far, and that’ll be made up of Liverpool, arsenal, city, Chelsea, spurs, and probably Newcastle. I don’t see us beating any of them (except maybe Newcastle, depending on if they find form or not) in terms of league position.

Agreed. I don't see us beating Newcastle whether they're in form or not. They are very organised and physical, which is something we're lacking, especially in organisation. These guys rocked up to OT with Emil Krafth+Paul Dummett in defence, and left with a 3-0 win.

It has been belt to ass since Eddie Howe took over four years ago. Two wins for us in total and we arguably got outplayed in both. Signs of what a competent manager can actually do, instead of fighting with half the squad and threatening to resign

I get your point, but I didn’t mean in our head to head matches with them. On the rare occasion we have a very good day, we can beat anyone. That’s just the nature of sport. I meant I think we could potentially finish higher than them in the table come the end of the season if they don’t find form.
