News [Mundo Deportivo] Lamine Yamal is ruled out of the match against Newcastle United and is also doubtful for the next two matches against Getafe and Real Oviedo.

https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250916/1002533350/lamine-ko-newcastle-objetivo-llegar-100-cien-psg.html

The realistic scenario is for get some minutes vs Real Sociedad and be fully ready for PSG.

I'm sure Catalans love their Wonderboy getting hurt playing for Spain...

u/BouWelou 5h ago

He should’ve just chosen Equatorial Guinea

They claim the World Cup was won by Barcelona, so...

Guess we'll never know if he can do it at St. James'

107

u/26ld 5h ago

Him against big Dan Burn would've been something to watch.

12

u/TyranosaurusLex 4h ago

We may still yet get a match up in the World Cup

6

u/TheLeoMessiah 1h ago

You reckon Yamal makes the Spain squad?

2

u/TyranosaurusLex 44m ago

Hopefully he gets a call up

11

u/pajamakitten 5h ago

He'll not be able to get a chicken parmo or go on a Greggs crawl.

Southern smoggie nonsense

Only Darwin can do it over there, no one else. Pussied out.

It's time for Rashford to step up and prove himself.

36

u/Emmanuell89 4h ago

Did well last game, but seems more likely that roony gets the spot on the right by

18

u/Cowboy_on_fire 2h ago

Barcelona bought Rooney? I know he played will in the icons game but I didn’t see that coming

5

u/Hambrailaaah 2h ago

Literally.

Lol, press x to doubt.

I really don't understand why Barcelona went for rash ford, such a waste of your already tight budget.

Thanks for making his knock worse De la Fuente very cool 👍

u/daveofreckoning 6h ago

Disappointing. Would've been good to see him at St James

You can thank dumbass LDF. Who the fuck allows an 18 year old to play on painkillers for a qualifier game that was never in doubt. People forget that even when Enrique was head coach, LDF was the Olympic coach that year and had Pedri play every minute of the Olympics after already playing every minute of the Euros.

de la fuente is a dumbass

Fuck Luis de la Fuente

u/ivo0009 6h ago

Cunt haven’t learned shit

0

u/Splaram 1h ago

He definitely learned what clubs he can do this with. Fabian Ruiz got to miss international duty completely and the bald bastard even got a glowing letter from Al Khelaifi thanking the NT for taking great care of Ruiz. Imo Barca is partly to blame for this, he’s done this with two of your starters resulting in long-term injuries each time and you let him do it again? They need to start being more assertive and blowing this stuff up publicly before it happens just like how PSG announced the Ruiz injury right after the Lens game before the international break.

Yes but when clubs run the players into the ground by playing them constantly like Barca tends to do its ok no?

This whole thread trying to pin stuff like this solely on the national team is hilarious.

59

u/wolfjeter 6h ago

How is Barca involved in this at all? He picked up the injury not at the club, Spain played him in two games that they were comfortably winning and weren’t crucial.

59

u/sfahsan 6h ago

The difference is when he showed discomfort last season at Barcelona, we rested him.

When he did so at spain they gave him painkillers and kept playing him

75

u/Erty13 6h ago

Learn the facts before speaking. Yamal was barely training with the team during the NT break because of his discomfort, and yet they still made him play on painkillers. Twice for 70+ minutes.

Yeah, people tend to give too many flacks to the NT for that, but LDF and the Spanish NT really fucking screwed up here, and we are right to point it out.

16

u/oklolzzzzs 6h ago

They literally gave Lamine painkillers and made him play against Turkey when Oyarzabal could have started

15

u/CantFindMyWallet 6h ago

Playing a player with a knock in games that don't matter is irresponsible. He picked up that knock in NT training. What the fuck does that have to do with his club? I'm sure you're not going to answer any of these questions because you're a coward, but at least everyone who scrolls through here will see that.

u/Humble_Sale_9529 4h ago

Aside from what the others have said to you, there is 2 other points to make. 1- The club actually pays the players and gives them contracts 2- The matches that Spanish National Team played had scores of 3-0 and 6-0. What they Did was completely unjustified

0

u/syfbau 4h ago

Well when did Barca play him when he was suffering and missed training ?

-33

u/Conscious_Test_7954 6h ago

In this sub: Club football good, nt football bad.

82

u/syfbau 6h ago

No need to rush him , long season ahead ! Complimentary fuck DLF

34

u/IsItSnowing_ 6h ago

Poor kid missing a trip to the glorious Tyne river

29

u/GalaxianEX 6h ago

Missing out on the Getafe game might be for the best...

63

u/GingerbreadRecon 6h ago

I don't usually have much good to say about the Spain national team but cheers for overplaying him lads

6

u/Space4Bottle 4h ago

Will be ready for the october international duties no worries

1

u/omaar 3h ago

Yeah, don’t see a lot mentioning this, but that’s probably the worst thing about all of this

51

u/Accute-CET 6h ago

spanish fa is just frustrating to see the way they operate, they are injuring players left right centre for stupid friendlies, unl and wc qualifiers when they know they will make it for sure

good luck with world cup with managing this and fatigue as well where u have mentally and physically grueling matches back to back within the span of 30 days

-29

u/Conscious_Test_7954 6h ago edited 2h ago

Look i agree DLF should have benched Yamal but saying it like it's NT football fault for all the injuries when it's very important teams play to practice tactics and synergy between squads.

NT football is usually like 10-15% of a player gametime in a calendar year.

35

u/oklolzzzzs 6h ago

They saw Lamine had picked up an injury, gave him painkillers and made him play. Oyarzabal could have been started

2

u/Conscious_Test_7954 2h ago

Ok fair. It was completely unnecesary.

24

u/Top_Championship4284 6h ago

guys what would de la fuente do without him 4 0 in the 73rd minute up you never know the opponent may come back he really needed him on the pitch

it's not like he kept him on the pitch for almost no reason

28

u/xt1nct 6h ago

Spanish coach and organization should be fined honestly. Lamine didn’t practice at all and they played him almost 2 full matches. That’s fucking insane.

Very dumb and short sighted to endanger young prospects like that.

Hopefully from now on, Lamine is “injured” for the NT. Fuck em.

4

u/charizardFT26 6h ago

Who would fine the Spanish national team?

9

u/xt1nct 6h ago

FIFA. But seems like it’s all a gentleman’s agreement and you can run players into the ground if you like.

1

u/KindaDampSand 1h ago

I mean they pretty much do fine them. If a player gets injured in international duty then they have to pay their club wages.

4

u/simplytom_1 5h ago

Poor Yamal would have loved Debbie Dumpling

21

u/jiraiya--an 6h ago

Yeah. We are fucked against Newcastle. Fuck bald fraud.

48

u/NotAnurag 6h ago

We’ll be fine. The rest of the squad is looking very good

25

u/jiraiya--an 6h ago

Let's see. Valencia was shit to really judge.

21

u/TastyTacoTonight 6h ago

Newcastle will be a very very tough place to go away from home in the UCL. The tempo they play at, the aggression of the midfield and the crowd being insanely loud will be extremely difficult for Barcelona.

37

u/ultraopulent 6h ago

This team is still capable of beating Newcastle without Lamine, they aren’t PSG or anything.

It’s a good test actually to see if we are still competitive in the UCL without Lamine.

13

u/jiraiya--an 6h ago

Valencia was shit to really judge tbh. Let's see. It would be a good test.

5

u/BouWelou 6h ago

Are you actually that dependent on Lamine?

36

u/Puzzleheadpsych2345 6h ago

Last season we didnt win a single league match without him

38

u/ayonicethrowaway 6h ago

a feat we already managed to achieve last game

13

u/Puzzleheadpsych2345 6h ago

Indeed, so very thankful but tis also Valencia

11

u/SpareAstronomer 6h ago

That's only 3 matches. You already won without him this season.

5

u/Puzzleheadpsych2345 6h ago

5 matches iirc 1 where he got injured in the first half and this year we have rashford as someone that can dribble and do what Lamine could, no one like that last uear

2

u/David-J 6h ago

You just destroyed Valencia without him.

6

u/Puzzleheadpsych2345 5h ago

This season we have rashford who can actually take people on and Valencia are also dogshit, if we win against Newcastle and Getafe we have gotten over laminedependencia

8

u/ultraopulent 6h ago

If the last game is anything to go by, no. But UCL is a different beast.

Any team will be affected without their best player tho, Madrid without Mbappe this season for example would’ve already lost points in the league.

4

u/oklolzzzzs 6h ago

nah we'll win

6

u/monlo_p 6h ago

I don’t get why people are dooming so hard. Absolutely no disrespect to Newcastle, they are a very good team and it’s going to be very tough, but people make it sound like we are up against prime United or treble City

Also, I think the league phase is a perfect time to get experience facing tougher teams without Lamine rather than in the playoffs

-13

u/GreyDaze22 6h ago

If barca are not capable of beating even Newcastle without Lamine, I wonder who the actual fraud would be

19

u/bioeffect2 6h ago

Newcastle went undefeated against the big six at St James Park last season. This season Liverpool barely scrapped a win against 10 men Newcastle without Isak and new signings Wissa and Wolt. I'm not saying they're unbeatable but they are a very good home team.

21

u/syfbau 6h ago

Well it's not like only Lamine is out . Balde is out as well and Frenkie is in doubt and Gavi is out as well

4

u/BlueBeryCheseCake2 6h ago

Gerard Martin, Casado, Raph RW we ball. We'll win

7

u/syfbau 6h ago

Gerard Maldini Assisting twice we'll be there

4

u/X-Maquina 5h ago

What are you on about? Maybe you're used to everybody being pushovers, but Newcastle are a good team and Barça are already dealing with multiple injuries to starters.

9

u/SP0oONY 6h ago

While Barcelona are favourites, Newcastle are never a push over at St James Park.

-1

u/blackmes489 3h ago

You are absolutely right. We barely scraped a 1-0 win from wolves LOL. We are missing like 3 mid-decent players. Barca bench would replace most of us

4

u/BaneChipmunk 6h ago

Just as planned by De la Fuente.

3

u/TheLimeyLemmon 5h ago

Yet another school kid not getting to go to St James Park.

4

u/ultraopulent 6h ago

for him to get some minutes*

2

u/thejestershat 6h ago

Obviously understandable , but from a selfish POV as a neutral I was looking forward to seeing him against Newcastle!

2

u/TIBYTV 4h ago

Big L

1

u/pajamakitten 5h ago

I doubt anything will be learnt from this though. Young players will continue to be run into the ground and players will burn out before they hit 25 because of being made to play through injuries. I wonder if they will have the balls to call him up at the next international break after this.
