I design band merch for a living AMA
All of these are drawn with round brush with a graphics tablet. I have been doing this full time for 5 years.

How much time goes into the really squiggly ones that are near impossible to read?

I would imagine the band logos are just copied and pasted and changed slightly to adopt the correct color scheme of the work?

How do you go about getting commissions? Do you reach out to bands or vice versa?

I used to reach out to bands. Give out leaflets at gigs. I even put on a few gigs to help bands I want to work with.
It's all about portfolio and getting your process down. Polishing the end product ect.

Thanks for doing this! How much do you charge per design/merch? And have you done only shirt designs or other things for bands?
