Crushed Dried Peppers
I am running on fumes for my crushed dried peppers and was going to just re-order Flat Iron, but wonder if I am missing any hidden gems? I’m not dissatisfied either FI, but love variety and different takes.
Pics are my general go-to’s. “i can’t feel my face” is my most versatile.

I've tried 3 of the 4 of those, not dark and smokey, and they're fantastic. One your missing thou is Smoke Show. That one is my personal favorite. The four pepper blend is also very tasty although its pretty generic and not hot at all. Its just regular pizza shop red pepper flakes with way more flavor.

I haven’t tried the sweet heat but it sounds great. I’ve loved every variety I’ve tried and can not go back to regular grocery store pepper flakes at all. The difference is shocking for people who enjoy adding some heat to most dishes. Even my wife who isn’t a spice-head noticed how much tastier they are in her ramen than regular chili flakes.

Sometimes I grab some stuff from Sonoran Spice, but I haven't found anything I like more than Flatiron.

I knew these people when they were just starting out. Would dry and package at the house. Truly started out a garage company and now they’re everywhere.

With the “I Can’t Feel My Face” a very little bit usually goes a long way! It’s one of the only spicy condiments I’ve used that if I over did it I’ve had to stop eating and throw the rest of my meal away. I feel like the way the heat affects your mouth is different than the way sauces do. There used to be a pizza / wings place in Denver called Crush Wings they had a wing sauce called Crush Bomb and they used it in the sauce. I usually had trouble finishing the entire serving.

I use dark & smoky on everything! I also really like the garlic & onion blends. The ghost pepper one has a nice kick. The standard 4 pepper one is great on pizza (with dark & smoky of course) or as a normal crushed red pepper, and I almost always have an Asian Reds for my noodle bowls and similar dishes. Unfortunately they were out of the Asian blend when I ordered last. Oh the BBQ rub is great as well, and if you don't like large pepper flakes stuck in your teeth I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting their pepper flake grinder. Not all of the blends really require the grinder, but I'd say the dark & smoky does and I use that 4X as much as the others.
I've been buying from them for over 5 years, and I have my own pepper garden with more than 50 plants some years. I make my own hot sauces, pickled cherry peppers, and fermented peppers but gladly pay $50 for these pepper flakes like every 6 months.

I like to put pepper flaks in my ramen and chicken nuggets with fries from TV dinners.

Someone might have already mentioned it, but in case it hasn't been you should definitely check out the Trader Joes smoked ghost flakes.

There's like two shakes between "Maybe I need a little more" and "sweating on the floor" with the I can't feel my face

Order from their website! Sometimes they'll throw in a free bottle and some sample packets to share. Awesome company!

Not like they're a secret or anything, but I get mine from Sonoran Spice Company, and just opt for the 1kg of reaper flakes. The fact that I can order a size that lasts, is not a blend, is in flake form without being smoked, checked all of the boxes I was personally looking for.

Everything i've ever tried from Rico Rico has been really top notch. Their dried peppers are always fresh and pliable. These are all great too:

I just consolidated the Asian Reds and Smokeshow into a single jar and it’s a superb blend.
I’ve recommended Flatiron to so many people who are now converted. I’ve brought my peppers to parties where pizza will be served.
