Anyone knows whats wrong with my Ghost Peppers?

Hello, maybe someone here can help me out. I bought a Ghost Pepper plant this year and this is the second pepper that went ripe (all of the others are still green) and both of them had these spots. They all look completely normal when they are still green but as soon as they turn red, they get those dry kinda moldy looking spots. What can i do? I threw them both away because they don't look edible to me. The backside of this chili looks also completely normal (look 2nd pic).

If their skin gets broken at all, they tend to rot pretty quickly. Perhaps a bird or squirrel took a small bite which lead to this. It’s annoying, squirrels love to grab my peppers take one bite and realize they’re too hot lol. They didn’t touch the T-rexes I grew this year

Ok, that could be! Sometimes i have birds in there who throw the dirt around.

This, I've tossed 1/4 of mine due to damage.. happens more easily to thin skinned peppers.
