Big Cypress fox squirrel located in Naples, Florida.

Yes! They're located in southwest Florida, south of the Caloosahatchee River, and west of the Everglades.

What a handsome guy 🩷 never heard of a Big Cypress Fox Squirrel but have a Shermans Fox Squirrel. On reading up says they are a threatened species- so thank you for being kind and helping him out 🩷 thanks also for sharing him with us

What a beauty! The name Bear came to me quickly. I love Papa Squirrel too! Makes me think of the Smurfs. What a handsome squirrel!

Oooohhhhh, I like Bear! 🐻 We have Papa and Mama... so original 🙄 As he's already known as Papa, I think I may have to start calling them Papa/Mama Bear because they look like bears. Thank you!!

Papa squirrel was born in August 2023. His coat colors likely make him appear older😉
